Blount County Sheriff's Office Announces Mobile App Available for Download

The Blount County Sheriff's Office announced a new mobile App available for download in the Google Play and Apple store on 6/16/22. The App is free for users to download on both Android and iOS mobile devices. To download, visit www.blountalsheriff.org/app or go to the Google Play or Apple store and type "Blount AL Sheriff's Office" in the search bar.

The mobile App allows residents and visitors quick, easy access to the most important features of the website (select options that apply): Contact Us, Submit a Crime Tip, Inmate Roster, Most Wanted, Sex Offenders, and Press Releases.

The App user has the ability to select which push notifications they would like to subscribe to, including daily inmate roster notifications, most wanted, sex offenders, and press release alerts. The new mobile App will serve as an additional information resource for the public and will assist with community policing efforts.

"The new mobile App not only features information for the public, but it also allows us in the Sheriff's Office to update information more quickly and efficiently while we are on a crime scene or on the go. The new App makes it simple to publish an alert to our community at the time when a disaster or important event occurs. The App continues to provide transparency for the Sheriff's Office and encourages the public to take a more active role in community policing efforts. We invite every County resident or visitor to download our App and sign up for our push notifications. We believe our App will be a huge benefit to the Sheriff's Office and the residents of Blount County as well," said Sheriff Moon.
