Now's your chance! Join us for an 8-week Citizen's Academy and get an inside look at how your Sheriff's Office works to keep Blount County safe.

  • Hands-on activities and simulations

  • Graduation ceremony with the Sheriff

Program Details

  • Duration: 8 weeks beginning January 13, 2026 thru March 3, 2026.

  • Schedule: Each Tuesday evening per week (2-3 hours) with optional range day January 24, 2026.

  • The class is LIMITED to 20 participants.

  • The class is free.

  • Must attend 7 of the 8 weekly classes to graduate.

  • Location: Blount County Sheriff's Office

  • Must be 18+ and live or work in Blount County
